Testing of the Capacitive Transfer System shows a greater capacity to deliver energy to where it is needed

Having commissioned the production of 580-metre length cables, we have carried out testing of the Capacitive Transfer System (CTS) across greater distance. As expected, initial observations indicate that as the CTS gets longer, voltage drop decreases. In contrast, voltage drop increase in longer lengths of conventional cable.

The test also showed that while power loss through the CTS increases with length, this is at a lower rate than with a conventional cable. The CTS therefore has a greater capacity to deliver power to where it is needed than conventional cable.
