Great discussions in Xi’An with the senior leadership team at XIIG, where Dominic Quennell and Dorian Vargas-Reighley reviewed the potential installation of eight wireless power transfer charging stations to demonstrate the benefits of vehicle-to-grid (V2G).
The project would show how EV batteries can be treated as distributed energy storage assets, supporting grid balancing through bidirectional wireless power transfer.
If realised, the site in Xi’An, Shaanxi Province, would be the first of its kind in China – an exciting step toward unlocking the full value of EVs within the energy system.
