Enertechnos Speaks at Arab-British Chamber of Commerce: Innovate for Sustainability Conference

3rd September 2024 — UK-based clean technology company Enertechnos is pleased to announce that its CEO, Dominic Quennell, will be a speaker at the upcoming Arab-British Chamber of Commerce: Innovate for Sustainability Conference. The conference, set to take place on Wednesday, 11th September, in Mayfair, London, will bring together thought leaders to discuss sustainable solutions and innovation in these critical sectors.

The conference provides a platform for high-level discussion on the pressing issues of energy, water, food security, waste management and climate change. It will feature presentations, interactive networking sessions and discussions, bringing together professionals, executives, investors and government officials from across the globe.

Dominic Quennell will present on the transformative potential of Enertechnos’ Capacitive Transfer System (CTS) technology. CTS is a globally patented technology that reimagines traditional electricity cable design to significantly reduce energy losses and enhance grid capacity. The CTS technology, which introduces a linear capacitor through the length of the cable, is designed to cut energy wastage by up to 10% and reduce the need for raw materials, such as copper, by as much as 20%. Quennell’s address, which comes recently after signing a licensing agreement with Riyadh Cables at the 2024 CIGRE Conference, will highlight the commercial benefits of this innovative solution and its role in supporting the global transition to net zero.

Quennell will also emphasise the strategic importance of UK-Arab partnerships in driving forward sustainable climate solutions, focusing on the carbon credits market related to power losses in various sectors – a key area of Enertechnos’ expertise. The event will serve as a catalyst for exploring funding and investment opportunities in innovative startups that are paving the way for a more sustainable future.

Commenting on his upcoming participation, Dominic Quennell, CEO of Enertechnos, stated: “I am honoured to address the Arab-British Chamber of Commerce at such a pivotal time for the energy sector. Our CTS technology offers a significant opportunity for the MENA region to advance their energy resilience while contributing to global decarbonisation efforts. This conference is a vital forum for fostering the collaboration needed to drive sustainable innovation and secure a cleaner future.”

The event previews some topics to be addressed at the ABCC’s forthcoming Arab British Economic Summit (ABES 2024), which will take place in November.
